Zanewood hosts joyous garden celebration June 8

Just as Peter, Paul and Mary sang nearly 50 years ago, students at Zanewood Community STEAM School have put in the work to make their school garden grow "inch by inch, row by row" this year! 

On June 8, Zanewood scholars hosted a ceremony to "gift" their garden to the City of Brooklyn Park (Recreation and Parks Department), where children in the Summer Fusion program will care for the flowers and vegetables while Zanewood students are away on break. It's this partnership—along with the guidance of Three Rivers Park District staff—that will ensure the Zanewood garden is always thriving.
